11 APRIL - LONDON SS BANNED FROM THE HOPE AND ANCHOR
'Legendary punk venue' the Hope and Anchor in Islington has barred the London SS from playing a show on the 25th of April due to the provocative nature of the name, despite having booked us in the past!
Well we weren't nazis last time we played there, I don't know what makes them think we've converted. Maybe we’re just a bit too rock n roll for them!But by denying a left-leaning band with a scary name their freedom of expression they are espousing the same intolerant and narrow-minded behaviour as the third reich and pig-ignorant fascists everywhere.
We and our promoters are now boycotting the venue, I suggest you do the same, we are currently finalising a deal with another, bigger, better, more open-minded venue to be announced soon.
